- Can often by confused with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy b/c both can present with similar changes in the ventricle on Echo
Distinguish from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
- LVOT Obstruction
- Fixed LVOTO → Subaortic Stenosis
- absence of systolic anterior motion (SAM) of the anterior leaflet of the MV
- Dynamic LVOTO (late-peaking, dagger-shapped Doppler signal → HCM
- SAM is present
